Submission
Here at Boudoir Press we accept unsolicited manuscripts, as well as manuscripts represented by agents. Please do not send poetry or recommendation letters.
When submitting a manuscript please note:
- We do not accept submissions or query letters via standard e-mail, only via this submission form.
- We are only interested in acquiring works of erotic and heavy sensual romance, erotica for women and BDSM.
- WE DO NOT ACCEPT MUNUSCRIPTS THAT INCLUDE: bestiality, incest, characters under 18 having sex (even in flashbacks), excrement or snuff.
- Submissions will be acknowledged, but it may then be 8 – 10 weeks before it is actioned. We shall not have forgotten you.
- We do not pay advances on contracted works.
- We do not charge any fees to the authors of E-Books who choose a generic book cover (custom designed e-book covers are available from £49.00).
- Printed books have a fixed fee of £99.00.
- Custom designed printed book covers are available from £99.00.
- We will only consider manuscripts that are between 40,000 and 75,000 words (some larger manuscripts may be considered)
Do not submit enquiries, synopses or sample chapters. Please send only full manuscripts.
Please Note: We are an e-publisher and all our work is done electronically; we do not accept paper submissions.
This is the criteria upon which we review ALL submissions:
- Originality of idea/creativity
- Quality of Writing
- Is it an arousing read ?
- Character/ Story Development
- Marketability
We prefer only lightly formatted documents, as most formatting will need to be removed for our printers.
1) Please use normal paragraph indentations. Indent your paragraphs as customary for works of printed fiction. DO NOT use the space bar to indent. Use the tab key:
2) Do not double space .
3) In punctuating conversation, use double quotation marks not single.
4) Submissions are accepted in MS Word, Open Office Format, Works document or RTF format (No PDF).
